Alphabetical Filing Drills MCQs

Civil Service Exam Subprofessional clerical ability drills on filing personal names alphabetically: same surnames, prefixes such as San and dela, Mac and Mc, hyphens and nothing-before-something.

20 MCQsUpdated 3 November 2026

Filing is one of the two items in the official Clerical Ability scope of the Civil Service Exam Subprofessional level. These drills ask for the first, second, third or last name in alphabetical filing order, using names with near-identical surnames, prefixes such as San and dela, Mac and Mc, hyphenated surnames and identical surnames with different first names.

Every answer and explanation here was generated by a script that applies the filing rules: surname first, prefixes joined to the surname, spaces and hyphens ignored, and nothing before something. Each explanation shows the full filing order.
